14. Feedback and Consent

Feedback and Consent

Coach Responsibility
We, the coaches, take full ownership of our actions toward the adults and players.
As senior coach for our age grades, I am responsible for:

  • The development of our coaches
  • Maintaining high standards
  • Upholding BRFC’s values

All roles, except catering, are voluntary.

Coaches and Training Feedback
We cannot address an issue unless we know it exists.
Feedback—positive or negative, public or private—shapes our improvement process.

Our philosophy:

  • Listen
  • Learn
  • Adapt for the benefit of the players

Success is simple:
If the players are smiling—rain or shine—and return season after season, then we’ve done our job.

Welcome Pack Feedback
This is our first comprehensive welcome pack for new and returning parents/guardians.
We recognize the volume of content may be a lot to take in—especially if you are new to rugby.

Our goals:

  • Clear layout
  • Relevant, age-specific topics
  • Useful answers to common questions

We’re not calling you “guinea pigs,” but your feedback is very much appreciated.
Paper copies can be provided. Website integration is under discussion.

Consent
We encourage all families to read this Welcome Pack and related documents.
Although no signature is required, BRFC assumes your consent through understanding and respectful participation.

Our shared responsibility:

  • Represent BRFC positively
  • Support our players together—coaches and adults united

Questions? Just ask. Your support is appreciated.

Message from the Author
“Participating in becoming a member of BRFC and playing rugby is entirely voluntary…”
“…After finishing my military career in 2010 and moving here, joining BRFC as a player and later as a coach has been one of the best decisions I’ve made…”
“…There aren’t enough words to express how much of a family this club is. Rugby bonds us, yes—but BRFC made me feel welcome from day one. Now, I’m proud and honoured to represent this club and wear its badge…”

We truly welcome you to the BRFC family.
Kindest Regards,
Mark Pengelly
