12. End of Season Presentations and Award

Player Presentations and Awards Ceremony

Presentation Overview
The end-of-season Player Presentations and Awards Ceremony is planned for ?? May 2026.

All players still registered and affiliated to BRFC via GMS will receive:

  • A BRFC medal
  • An accomplishment certificate

Coaching arrangements (U6/U7/U8 collectively) may evolve, potentially influencing how awards are administered.

Effort should be matched by reward, but our focus remains on:

  • Effort
  • Behaviour
  • Attitude
  • Team spirit
  • Performance across training, JTs, and festivals

U7 & U8 Trophy Awards
Five standard trophies will be awarded:

  • Player of the Season (POY)
  • Players’ Player of the Season (PP)
  • Most Improved Player (MI)
  • Most Consistent Player (MC)
  • Best Newcomer (BN)

Note:

  • Four awards selected by coaches
  • Players’ Player award nominations provided by adults (not players)
  • You cannot nominate your own child

U6 Trophy Awards
Although U6 is non-competitive, we will repeat last season’s decision to present five generic awards focusing on:

  • To Listen
  • Try Their Best
  • Have Fun

Amendments and Additional Awards
Most Improved x 2

  • Used instead of “Most Consistent” due to age-related variability
  • Supports inclusivity and wider recognition

Best Newcomer (BN):

  • Retained due to mid-season joiners

Muddiest Player of the Season:

  • Fun-focused award to promote comfort with messy play
  • Encourages enthusiasm in poor weather

Joint U6/U7 Player of the Season:

  • Recognizes outstanding contribution from either group
  • Awarded last season to an U6 player
  • Reinforces “To Listen, Try Your Best, Have Fun” ethos

Summary
Award ceremony details will be shared closer to the date.
Final decisions may adjust depending on team sizes and player availability.

Note: Festival medals are for attendance—not to be confused with club trophies.

We welcome feedback from adults who attended last year’s ceremony to help improve this year’s event.

Please save the date—?? May 2026. It’s a special day for the players!
