At present there is a team of four dedicated members who prepare and mark out three rugby pitches every Saturday during the rugby season. There is a need to increase this number as the team, not only are getting older with every season that passes, but it is becoming harder to cover the work required when one or two of the team have a Saturday off. It is also necessary to plan for the succession of those who currently do the work once they retire, which could be in the next year or two.

We are looking for a couple of volunteers who are prepared to give up one or two Saturdays each month for a couple of hours, from around 8:30am in the morning, to help the team with the pitches and to learn the ropes. Without this help the team cannot guarantee that in the future the pitches will be marked out and available for playing by Senior teams on a Saturday or Mini and Youth teams on a Sunday.

This is an essential job that needs doing without fail. If you could do with the exercise, wish to be outside and want to help, please volunteer for this important job. No previous experience is necessary, and full instruction will be given. Any offer of assistance, no matter how small, will not be refused.
