Let’s talk. Let’s listen. Let’s support each other. Together!
World Mental Health Day takes place every year on 10 October. It is an important reminder that mental health matters to every one of us, and that supporting our mental wellbeing must be a priority in our lives, our families, our workplaces and our communities.
This year’s theme, “Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change”, is a powerful reminder that behind every experience of mental health challenges is a person with a story that deserves to be heard, understood and respected.
At Bognor Rugby Football Club, we believe that the strength of a club is about far more than what happens on the pitch. It is about our people, our friendships, our community and the way we look out for one another.
Mental health does not discriminate. It can affect anyone, at any age, and sometimes the people who appear strongest on the outside may be struggling the most on the inside. That is why we must keep talking openly, listening without judgement and creating an environment where people feel safe to speak up, share their experiences and ask for help when they need it.
You do not have to have all the answers. Nor do we! But sometimes, simply being there, listening and showing someone that you care can make a real difference.
Today, and every day, Bognor Rugby Club stands alongside everyone affected by mental health challenges, and those living with them, those supporting loved ones, and those who may be struggling in silence.
Your voice matters. Your feelings matter. You matter.
Together, let’s break down the stigma, make space for honest conversations and remind one another that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Because no one should ever feel they have to face their mental health challenges alone.
